What I'm up to

I'm currently in my third year of Games Design at the University of Central Lancashire, Preston. During my time there Ive learned a lot about texturing, modelling and importing what I've created to run within an Engine.

My main focus now is to improve my Texturing and Modelling skills and to be able to create them in a variety of styles/ Genres.  Once I finish the course I will begin working on my Modelling skills and improving my modelling skills to build up a Portfolio. If I get the grades I am considering doing a final year to get a Master's Degree, this would allow me to work on improving my skills with the support of the tutors and focus on what I'm strongest at.

The starting point of me using Normal maps. Low poly Rock created in Maya. Exported to Mudbox to add detail and texture, Imported back into Maya and baked the high poly detail onto the low poly mesh.

High and low poly tiles created and baked in Maya, I created the high detail tiles in Maya to get the Hard edges needed for the best normal map results.

Low poly Plaque. High poly created in Mudbox to add the smallest details and to accurately build up the detail using a mask for quick efficient detail.
